Meet our Hospitality Manager

Dave Mosher

A native Californian, Dave Mosher was born in Oakland. He attended UC Davis and studied geography, climatology, and photography. After graduating, he went south to Santa Barbara to attend Brooks Institute of Photography. Like any staving art student, he got a job working in a restaurant and thus began his career in hospitality. For 14 years, he worked at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, eventually becoming the Food and Beverage Manager. And it was through this position that he entered into the wonderful world of wine.

In June of 1987, Dave moved to the Napa Valley, accepting a position at the newly re-opened Christian Brother’s Greystone Winery. From there he spent 14 years at Grgich Hills Cellar, as the Hospitality Manager. After that he held a similar position at Merryvale Vineyard in St Helena. Finally, in the winter of 2010, he started at the newly opened winery and tasting room at Bravante Vineyards.

A visit with Dave in the Bravante tasting room is always educational, fun and will be a bit different than other tasting room experiences. His goal is to make your visit fit your needs - to help you learn something new about wine, how to enjoy wine, and make your future with wine more pleasurable.

In his spare-time, Dave still enjoys attending sporting events at UC Davis as well as cultural and fund-raising events at the University. With any extra time, he is out doing high school sports photography for the St Helena and Calistoga newspapers.
